![]() ![]() Saffire is doing the development on the GBA version - which is quite different in design and engine from the first GBA Hot Wheels game from a while back - and has apparently kept intact the "mission" structure of a story going throughout the racing as in the console games. There's also more than 30 cars from the 2002 Hot Wheels car line, and features an extensive database of stats and details on each car in the game for the true Hot Wheels fans. The cityscape is stylized to look like the Hot Wheels parts that you may recognize - buildings will look like carburetors, for instance. ![]() That means that the tracks are laid out a bit more like what you can get with the toys (banded loops and crazy stunt launchers), and the track design looks more influenced by the cars. ![]() While the next-gen versions present the Hot Wheels cars in a futuristic somewhere-land, the GBA version really is all about the cars - it's more of an extreme toy racing simulator than the next-gen pretend-realism. Along with the console versions, THQ will be releasing Hot Wheels Velocity X for the Game Boy Advance next month. ![]()
